Cold Stamping Mold for Motorcycle and Bicycle Parts
This is FYI. The purpose of this cold stamping mold is to make parts that are used for the framework and the operation of motorcycles and bicycles, such as chain guards, clutch levers, brake pads, and suspension plates. The specified parts are those whose operational performance is significantly high while the tolerance of the dimensions must be very precise.
Using the cold stamping process, it is possible to work on medium- to high-strength steel, titanium, and aluminum alloys at room temperature, preserving their mechanical properties, while at the same time giving them a complex shape. In the designing stage, we pay close attention to various operations such as deep drawing, trimming, coining, and bending in the mold construction process.
Machined out of steel at radiant mold design and coated with abrasion-resistant treatments, the mold can operate continuously at a high tonnage press. We can provide either a progressive or a single-stage mold based on the production requirement.
The main characteristics of the mold are automation in ejection, the existence of guide posts, and the availability of modular die inserts for making frequent changes quickly. The mold's behavior during the production of parts can be predicted by using the Finite Element Analysis method. It has been found that the models' geometry is not getting cracked or bent thereby keeping it consistent all the time.
Motorcycle and bicycle OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) utilize our stamping tools to ensure the smooth running of their production lines by achieving high productivity, reduced cycle times, and consistency in part quality—features that are all fundamental in meeting the demands of the fast-paced production environment.
